Iran to host contest on filmmaking

Tehran is scheduled to host the 2nd edition of the Int’l Competition on “Research Technology & Innovation in The Eyes of Photographers, Cartoonists & Filmmakers” in January, 2017.

The organizers recently announced that about 370 artists from more than 40 countries have submitted more than 300 works to the secretariat so far.

Animated films from countries such as China, Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Turkey, and Serbia will take part in the contest.

This edition of the competition will be held at a higher level with an aim to promote and deepen culture, research, technology and innovation.

The theme of the contest is “Challenges and Opportunities of Research, Technology and Innovation” and an exhibition will also be organized on the sideline of the event.

Andisheh Cultural Center in Tehran will host the closing ceremony of the contest along with an exhibition to display the winning works on January 1, 2017.
